Another weekend, another dawnie...! The alarm went off at 5.30am, and at 5.45 I finally slid out of bed. Ed turned up at 6.15, slung the gear in the back of his car, had a quick brew and we were off...

Camber this time, and a morning of longboard action. Ed was on his Lightning and 7.5, I was on the IMCO and a 7.0. We were first on the water, 'cept for a SUPer. We were both planing easily, today when we'd have been bogging on shortboards. That IMCO really flies, especially upwind. I had to keep consciously scrubbing of ground downwind so I didn't have too far to get back. It was quite hard work however, as the IMCO was slippery as an ice rink having had the grip worn off over the years. I'd also forgotten how knackering uphauling is! Still, had a cracking sail for about 1 and half hours (making that 39 for the year), then a fry up at the beach caf.... luuuverly!!

Shawn, Stu and Jason turned up as we were calling it a day - we watched them from the caf and they seemed to be planing at times, although the wind had picked up a bit by then.
